Not only was it a win for the local favorite, it was for a very special cause. A day of test-n-tune for the GoDaddy.com/Hacienda Harley-Davidson V-Rod Destroyer ended up being a friendly competition in the Eades Family Benefit Race presented by M & N Racing to raise money for a family in need.
Local Mustang Club M & N Racing rented the track at Speed World in Surprise, AZ for one of their regular events but tragedy turned it into a Charity Event for Club Members Chris and Nicole Eades and their two young daughters. The family is victim of a serious car accident that took the life of little Jenna Lynne Eades who brought joy to so many in her short 6 months of life. As of Sunday night, Chris who is a Sergeant in the Air Force was still in the hospital with bleeding of the brain. Four-year-old Hailey suffered serious head injuries and received three titanium rods in her left leg, was brought home for Easter and being cared for by her mother, friends and family. It is uncertain when Chris will recover from his injuries or released from the hospital but little Hailey is unfortunately facing more surgeries.
This is a special family and donations are necessary to help in their recovery. If you can give to help, as I am sure many of our fellow racers would like to do, please contact Pete @ 602-743-0040 for assistance. We will keep you posted.
God Bless the Eades Family. |
